Landscape photography at night - astrophotography in Derbyshire

With the vague challenge of doing some night photography in my local area and trying to focus on a small number of compositions, I set out one cold and misty winter night near Charnock - an area that's cropped up in my vlogs before.

I didn't really manage to keep the number of shots I took down as I'd intended, but I did get a few shots I was really pleased with. The sky was nice and clear at first but some cirrus cloud was occasionally rolling over which I always love photographing the stars through - it gives a lovely pleasing glow to the stars and can also reflect some of the ambient light pollution to create some interesting colours in the sky.
